Bio

Based in Austin, Texas, Alex is a cinematographer and colorist known for his ability to craft compelling visual narratives. With a passion for film that began in his youth, Alex has brought his talents to a wide range of projects, from feature films to ad campaigns, documentaries and TV shows.

Among his recent works is the feature film "A Christmas In New Hope," directed by Julia Barnett, starring Katrina Bowden, Ryan Cooper, and Adrianne Palicki. The film had a theatrical release and will be available on streaming platforms soon.

Looking ahead, Alex has two more feature films in the pipeline: "House of Abraham," directed by Lisa Belcher, starring Natasha Henstridge, Lukas Hassel, and Lin Shaye, and "Texas Cult House," directed by Julia Barnett, starring Ryan Cooper and Adrianne Palicki, showcasing his myriad visual styles.

In addition to his work as a cinematographer, Alex is known for his color grading and post-production skills. He excels at enhancing storytelling through subtle yet impactful techniques, elevating the narrative without overwhelming it. Alex has delivered files for multiple projects to various distributors, meticulously overseeing the delivery process for feature films, including the creation of DCPs for theatrical playback.

Alex's passion for filmmaking extends beyond the lens to a deep appreciation for all aspects of the craft. A collector of screen-used and replica movie props, each piece in his collection reflects his love for the history and artistry of cinema.

When not on set, Alex is an avid reader and enjoys exploring the art of iPhone photography. His diverse interests fuel his creativity, contributing to his unique perspective as a filmmaker.
