Alex is based in Austin, Texas and has shot many acclaimed international and regional ad campaigns, documentaries, and feature films. With over 20 years of experience, Alex also offers post-production services. At the age of 21 Alex shot a feature film in the SF Bay Area that went on to win awards for best cinematography and found distribution on DVD and streaming. From there he pursued projects that would give him a unique world view that would inform his future work.
When not shooting or grading, Alex is an avid iPhone photographer and a big believer in shooting with what you’ve got. Alex has a collection of screen used and replica movie props, many of which he built himself after meticulously researching the original construction methods. Many of his graphic recreations and commissioned pieces can be found in collections across the world.
